Check-in
Present your e-ticket from your smartphone at the experience venue within the Ryukyu Village Free Zone, "Okinawa Station Champlu." The staff will press the start button to begin your experience.
Choose a shisa
Shisa come in male and female forms. The male has an open mouth, while the female has a closed mouth. ☆Male Shisa☆ With its wide open mouth, it invites happiness. ☆Female Shisa☆ The female keeps her mouth closed to prevent the happiness brought by the male from escaping.
Start the experience!
Choose one color from the paints and apply it to the entire shisa. Feel free to mix the paints to create your own desired color. When painting, use the paint without too much water, making it thick. Be careful not to add too much water, as the paint may soak into the shisa!
Let’s try painting some fine details!
The paint you applied to the entire shisa will dry quickly, so feel free to draw your desired patterns or characters on top. Let’s make it colorful with your favorite colors! ♪ You can use a toothpick or similar tool to create finer details. If you’d like to use a toothpick, please ask the staff at the experience venue.
Finished!
Add the eyebrows, eyes, and mouth, and you’re done!

- The acrylic paint used in the experience is not washable if it gets on your clothes. Please be careful not to get paint on your sleeves or clothing during the activity. We recommend using the disposable aprons provided at the venue.
